PROJECTS

Explore our portfolio of transformative outdoor Projects that redefine spaces and enrich our Community.

From stunning landscapes to vibrant urban spaces, our completed projects showcase our commitment to creating outdoor environments for our Partner organizations that inspire and engage Community members to facilitate positive Mental Health outcomes.

Phase 1 – Design

Think of your project like building a house; you can’t really do much until you have the blueprints in hand. That’s why we start with Design to help you think through the details of your project. It’s a bit like creating your wish list where we assess the big-picture goals of everything you want to achieve. Depending upon the project, this can include (but isn’t limited to) the following:

  • A site visit with you
  • Materials list
  • Consultation with project-specific experts
  • Budget discussions

At the end of the day, your project will determine how detailed the Design phase needs to be. Once this phase is complete, we move on to Project Launch.

Phase 2 – Project Launch

Once your design is finalized, we then source your project to our members to cover all the line items required for completion. Members reply to let us know their area(s) of expertise and sign up for the part they want to contribute to or oversee. The duration of this process depends upon the complexity of your project and includes (but isn’t limited to) the following action items:

  • Full materials listing
  • Acquire bids for project needs
  • Logistics and planning (ex: if an irrigation system is needed, we have to site prep and install that system first, then top soil , then sod)
  • Coordination of work crews

As we tie up the loose ends of the Project Launch phase, if our team has been unable to procure all necessary materials for a project, you will need to either provide the remaining funds needed or the remaining materials to ensure the project’s completion according to plan.

The closer we get to project launch, a question we’re often asked is, “can I bring my own volunteers to help?” In order to keep everyone on the job site safe and ensure the most professional project outcome, we do not allow non-member volunteers to participate in our projects. If, however, you know individuals who are eager to help, we encourage you to share our SPONSOR page with them, where all donations received go directly to fund our non-profit community projects.

Phase 3 – Construction Day

With Design and Project Launch complete, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work! This is what we love – when our members come together, donating their time and resources to bring a project to life. During construction, we may have 15 companies working hand in hand, lending their materials, equipment, and expertise to help the greater good. The way we see it, we’re just neighbors helping neighbors, and there’s nothing better than that.
